Discussion guides on Field Research and Ethics were created based on discussions held at the Workshop on Field Research and Ethics in Post-Conflict Environments in December 2008, sponsored by the Program on States and Security. The aim is to provide better understanding of the ethical dilemmas and field research methodology concerns encountered while conducting research in post-conflict environments. It is not intended to be an exhaustive how-to manual, but rather it is a list of questions that should be considered when planning or evaluating field research in post-conflict environments.
